Hello, I’m Sidney "Jay" Williams, and I’ve been in the fire protection industry for over 35 years. With an extensive background in working as a fire protection contractor, serving the communities of Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia, as well as a rewarding career in the Fire Service, including many years serving as the Special Assistant State Fire Marshal in Montgomery County, MD. During my journey, I’ve learned from/worked with the best.

Throughout my career, I have amassed a wealth of knowledge while training with and working side-by-side with some of the best Fire Protection Engineers and Fitters in the industry. I’ve been able to attain multiple industry-related certifications from renowned authorities such as the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the International Code Council (ICC). These ongoing certifications continuously require one to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.

After a 20+ year career the fire service, I have embarked on a new chapter as a self-employed, multi-licensed fire protection systems contractor. Specializing in fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, I am bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a meticulous attention to detail to every project.
